Tuesday, June 17 at 7 pm Kinloch Nelson and Chuck Campbell Yes, folks, you read it right! These two giants of the Rochester guitar scene go head to head (or hand to hand) for an unrehearsed jam session. We previewed the combo and this is guaranteed to be a smoking show!!
Wednesday, June 18 at 7 pm Bob Sneider and Friends What about Bob? Guitarist/composer/educator Bob Sneider is the jazz guitar teacher at the world-renowned Eastman School of Music and Eastman Community Music School. More importantly, he leads his hot trio in the nightly JAZZ FEST jam session at the State Street Bar!! Bob will be in the store jamming with some of his talented students. Do NOT miss this one!!
Thursday, June 19 at 7 pm. Metro Vibe Metro Vibe is a Rochester based contemporary jazz trio composed of members Adam Bradley guitars, Mick Savino bass and Frank Minuto congas and percussion. Their riveting mix of spirited, original compositions embrace the full spectrum of rhythms, fusing world music in a fresh and exciting way. Metro Vibe will also be performing on June 21 on the JAZZ FEST lineup. Come by and experience their fresh approach to jazz!!
Friday, June 20 at 7:30 pm. Steve Greene Trio with Tina Albright Steve Greene is a gifted musician and guitarist. He teaches, writes and performs regularly in Rochester and Western New York. A master of improvisation and richly textured guitar technique, Steve has a devoted following of jazz fans. Tina Albright will appear with the trio providing her warm and soulful vocals in the style of the great jazz crooners. This will be a class act!!!
Saturday, June 21 at 5 pm. The Ted Perry Jazz Project Ted Perry is a multi-talented pianist, composer, arranger and aspiring medical doctor. With early classical music training, his interest turned to jazz and he graduated from the New School of Music. He has performed with Ernie Watts, Kenny Burrell and Paul Smoker, among others. He will perform with Allan Ward on drums and Ryan Kotler on bass. We are excited to have Ted Perry Project close out our Jazz Fest music series!!
